Orange You Glad It's Friday #17

Welcome to week 17 of Orange You Glad It's Friday!

Wow, time is flying by and Christmas is almost here! I have been getting into the spirit this past week, having visited a tree farm, put up or Christmas tree, decorated our house, and generally been keeping the holiday cheer around for my son to soak in. Since this is his first Christmas, he may not understand what is going on, but he so enjoys the different activities - the lights, music, and family time!

This is a great holiday photo, submitted to us from Freda Mans at Day One. I am a lover of bokeh, and this is such a pretty, simple example. Gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Every Friday 12:01am PST, I will open the blog up for posts. Rules are simple. Post a picture that you have taken or piece of art you have created (or have permission to use) with a little or a lot of orange, share your link below, visit others and comment on their orange takes, leave a comment here if you wish.

Each week, I will feature a favorite submission from the previous week with a link to the participants blog.

DON'T FORGET -- Be sure to include an Orange You Glad It's Friday Badge or link back to this blog in your post. To add a badge, just copy and paste the HTML code from below!

I appreciate everyone spreading the word about Orange Friday. See a great photo on another site that has a little or a lot of orange? Suggest they stop by and submit it here. We had a record number of submissions last week, and I hope to see everyone back again and even more new participants in the coming weeks! :)

You can also get updates and reminders of Orange You Glad It's Friday on Facebook! Also, even if you do not have a blog, you are welcome to post photos uploaded to Facebook. Just enter the URL of the photo to Linky Tools below to join!

Deep Dark Forest

I grew up in the forest, so the thought of the "deep dark forest" is actually quite homey to me. I love wandering through the woods alone, and coming across a place like this. A perfect woodsey scene -- The lichen clinging to the trees. The moss covered forest floor. Gorgeous, quite, serene.

Way Close Waterfall

On a recent hike we came across this rapid waterfall, Munra Falls. There is a bridge that I am standing on, and it is so close to the falls that my lens kept getting misty. I was only able to fit this much of the waterfall into a photo due to having to stand so close!

Happy Mushroom Environment

Really, what is Hood Photo Blog in autumn without having at least one mushroom picture a week HAHA! I liked this one because of the moss and lichen that surrounds it.

From the Tree Farm

Yesterday my son and I went to a Christmas Tree farm to go tree hunting with some friends. Later in the evening we went over to my Moms house to help put her tree up. It is so fun to experience these firsts with him. He is so interested in everything, and it is awesome to see him take it all in.
