Welcome to week 18 of Orange You Glad It's Friday!

Merry ALMOST Christmas! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! I am looking forward to my 4-day weekend, spending time with my family, and enjoying my sons first Christmas with him. So sweet!

Every Friday 12:01am PST, I will open the blog up for posts. Rules are simple. View from Timberline Lodge

 

At the beginning of December, I briefly visited Timberline Lodge, up on Mt Hood. I was not able to stay long, but did manage to get a few photos. This is a view looking down from the lodge parking lot at the top of one of the ski trails. You can barely make out the foothills below through the cloudy skies. Since this photo was taken, the mountain has been pounded with snowfall, and has lots of fresh powder for the skiers and snowboarders to enjoy!

Wet Holly

Kind of an appropriate holiday themed photo. The holly berries are all turning red, just in time for Christmas!

Windows to a Winter Wonderland

I made a quick visit to Timberline Lodge a few weeks ago. This is taken before the big snowstorms that have been hitting the mountain. This is a very low amount of snow for the first week of December, when the photo was taken. But since then the Lodge has seen a lot of new snow accumulation.

Dried Grasses

The dried wild grasses are being beaten down with rain as I type this, and will form a sort of mat to keep the soil warm until spring when the new grasses emerge.
