Suction Cup Lichen
I do not know the true name of this yellow lichen, but I dubbed it Suction Cup Lichen, because looks like little upside-down suction cups covering this entire branch.
Lichens and moss make such great macro subjects. I've been eyeing a dead branch in the park with this same sulphur yellow lichens growing on it. Will need to see if it is a collection of suction cups too! Aptly named.
I'm sure it has some long Latin scientific name, but Suction Cup sound good to me! Amazing Macro! Thanks for your visit and comment on my blog. Lea Lea's Menagerie

Perhaps that is how this lichen hangs on! Great closeup.
good one...good name for it too!
Ohhh! It absolutely does look like suction cups!!!
How pretty!
I've not seen a lichen like the yellow one - your name suits it well.

I think that if the name isn't "suction cup," it should be re-named that because it's perfect! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful image. :)
That's gorgeous!

It's a good rename and I like that just past Valentine's Day two or three look like tiny hearts! :)

I've never quite seen anything like these. Stunning!
I've did not know that lichen could be this colour! Most unusual for me! And they do seem to parade a bunch of suction caps! Good one!
Fantastic shot!
