I am very very lucky to live where I do. On any given weekend I can pack up my son, his backpack carrier, meet up with hiking buddies and trek out into the woods to discover the beauty that our area provides. This is a simple trail, but surrounded by fern covered ground and moss covered rocks and trees, in itself is a stunning sight.

So beautiful! I love the colours and textures in the moss.
ReplyDeleteThe area you live in is so lush and green. I don't blame you for wanting to be out in it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThe rockiness of that trail would be difficult for me to hike but I sure would like too.
It's very pretty. I can't wait for my area to look like that again.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo! My hubby and I enjoyed many trails during our week vacation in Oregon. It is so lush and green, the mountains are gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteOK, let's go for a hike! I'll have to plan one soon.
ReplyDeleteDelightful hiking trail and photo for H ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteI wish I could hike but I have to suffice with nice gentle walks because of a bad back.

oh so beautiful! I love the way you have shown the track disappearing over the rise - it makes me want to follow. Yes you are so lucky to live close to trails like this. I am looking forward to cooler weather here in Australia so we can go bush walking again.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful week. I am joining you through Our World Tuesday.
I do so missed getting out to the woods like I used to do so long ago, that is a very pretty picture indeed and brings up many good memories for me.
ReplyDeleteI follow your link from ABC Wednesday where I had entered my Letter H at.
It looks a great place to go hiking. I love that you can share the experience with your young son.
ReplyDeleteGimme a push and I'll climb that hill!
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a nice hike! Beautiful area. I really like all the moss.
ReplyDeleteso many wondrous greens. I feel the same way about where I live, a different climate and terrain, but oh so beautiful, all year round.
ReplyDeleteI know this is in Oregon and I'm afraid I probably have a similarly long list for North Carolina, but this looks like it could be over on the Appalachian Trail. It would be the Pacific Northwest trail, even. :)
ReplyDeleteThat would definately be a very pleasurable time.
