Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to my American visitors. This is a photo I took yesterday of my grandfathers final resting place, located in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. The sea of flags is truly a sight to see.

Thank you for posting this. It is such an amazing site to see. Both of my parents as well as my wife parents are buried up there.

I was just there yesterday too. It is indeed a memorable sight to see all the flags next to each Veteran's resting place.

I made a mistake so here it is again.

I am 100% in rememberance for Memorial Day. Amen.

To say Happy as I see people say. I mean who

ever in authority made the happy in there.

To me it is not happy when the soldiers and veterans either die or come back with out limbs.

It saddens me. I watched your President stand

there and other officials. Almost in tears.

My two brothers came home wounded. One had a

leg with steel rod inside.

My other brother loss his

hearing from shell bombing. Stone deaf.

So being a Canadian it is an harship Day To

say Happy.

We call it Poppy Day.

Now I am not trying to stir up the pot. Just

wondering. And maybe know one knows.

Indeed all the flags are a sight to see. It is so sad that they have to represent so much tragedy and sadness,
