Slatted Stroll

On Sunday, my brother, son and I visited the Camassia Natural Preserve in West Linn. I had never been to the park before, but it was worth the mile stroll. The preserve trail is mostly these slatted footbridges, which leads you through rocky plateaus and marshy wetlands. We came a few weeks too late to really get the effects of the wildflowers, as the blue ones pictured here are the namesake of the preserve, Common Camas, normally are much more abundant. We apparently came to visit during the yellow Buttercup stage ;)

I like them both, the blue and the yellow. This looks like a pretty, peaceful stroll.

Nothing wrong with buttercups, and they do set off the blue flowers nicely. What an inviting walkway!
