Willamette Falls

This is Willamette Falls, which is a waterfall located between Oregon City and West Linn. I took this photo from the Arch Bridge, which crosses the Willamette River downstream from the falls. On either side of the river you are able to see buildings belonging to paper  and power generation companies. Until 2011, boats were able to pass through locks to continue upstream.

A few years ago I took a speed boat trip up the Willamette River from downtown Portland to the base of these falls. Someday I will have to do it again, and bring a waterproof camera!

such a lovely part of Oregon! That sounds like a fun boat trip! I will put it on my list if I'm in the area again.

It's been awhile since I've been out to Oregon. I hope to make it back someday.
