Unexpected Sunset from Crown Point

Monday night, I was having one of those nights. You know the ones, where you just need to get out and get away from it all. I finally got the baby to bed and told the hubby, "I'll be back in a while", grabbed my camera bag and headed out. I knew where I was going and what I wished I could see happening in the sky, but as my car pulled out of the garage, raindrops hit the windshield. I continued on. As I crossed a bridge about halfway to my destination, I almost turned back. The raindrops had gotten worse. The clouds were grey and dark. No way I would see a sunset ... or so I thought. When I reached Crown Point, the sun was peaking out in a thin glowing golden space below the thick rainclouds, and about 2 minutes after my arrival, I captured this photo.

  8. Yes every sunset is amazing, and they are always unique. I am in the west 5th Floor and sunsets are always my companion, however it is now rainy season so a bit difficult to see them.
