I am a sucker for the constant action at the base of a waterfall. While many people are looking up at the crest where the water comes over the edge, I am busy looking down. The steady crack as the water hits, the mist, and the never-still pool at the bottom are fascinating to me. This is the very end of the water drop of Elowah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.

ReplyDeleteWe have some very interesting formations at the base of the cliffs where we go for our beach walks. Great stuff!

Nice shot!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteI really like that perspective...we all have the tendency to look up...in this case looking down brings a new insight to waterfalls. Thanks! Lovely picture indeed.
ReplyDeleteLove waterfalls, but you are right...the base has so much action and beauty.
ReplyDeleteTo me there is nothing as theraputic as the sound of water hitting the rocks and the roar of the waterfall.
Well that's a different view--I'm like all the others and usually just look from the top. Very pretty.

Very cool!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I agree that the best action is at the base. :) We don't have many waterfalls around here, so I always love seeing photos from other parts of the country.
ReplyDeleteWaterfalls! I love them, because we haven't got them in the Netherlands.
