Beginning of my love of Macro - Aug 2010

Back in August of 2010, I had not gotten the itch for macro photography that I have now. This photo, taken with a little point and shoot, inspired me to learn more about taking close-ups. I remember when I first saw the photo downloaded on my computer, I fell in love with the dusting of pollen in the hairs on the bees back and knew at once that it was something I wanted to do more with. I since have purchased a macro lens for my soon to be replaced broken Nikon, and continue to keep my eyes peeled for such awesome photography opportunities.

I have wished for but have not quite succumbed to getting a macro. I just struggle along with my tele.
A really lovely shot.

I'd never noticed the pollen baskets on bees before I started my love of macro. It's amazing the things you notice when you stop rushing around and start looking at the tiny details.
That's a brilliant photo :)

É incrivelmente lindo e real! Eu também amo macro, mas minha máquina é bem limitada quanto a isso!

It's a lovely shot! I became interested in our bug world when I saw all the wonderful macros out there. Seeing the pollen on the bees legs was amazing to me, but to see the pollen on the hairs of the bees back is something special. Your photo is extraordinary!

Thank you so much for sharing with Today’s Flowers, and wishing you a very happy day.
