Heading home on Saturday, the weather was very typical Oregon. In some spots it was sunshine, and a few miles later, rain. But that makes for great rainbow sighting, and this was the first I had seen this year. I liked it against the dark clouds with the blue peeking out as seen above, but also was able to step back and take a panoramic of the entire arch!

I love going on hikes where you are able to walk behind a waterfall. The view is awesome when you can look out and up and see the water cascading over the cliffs edge above you. This is the back side of Ponytail Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.

Walking through the forest near the Molalla River this past weekend, there were quite a few trees that were covered on all sides with colonies of these these little shelf fungus.
