This is a view looking north towards the Columbia River, through Rowena Dell. The sun broke through the clouds just as I snapped the photo and cast it's light across the valley below.

Just a few tiny water droplets chilling out on to some leaves in my garden after watering. The weather has been quite warm for going on two weeks now, and my raised beds are needing water every day it seems! The rain is supposed to return this weekend though :(

As we headed home from a drive out to Rowena Plateau last weekend, I saw this old abandoned farm. The weather at the plateau had been sunny and warm, but now the clouds closed in overhead, only letting small patches of sun hit the hills behind. I thought the darkness just added to the quiet feeling of the expanse of deserted land.

I love driving along and coming across an old farm, especially abandoned ones. This barbed wire fence surrounded such an expanse of land on my drive between Rowena Plateau and the little town of Mosier, OR. I had to stop to take a photo. Come back tomorrow for a different view at the farmland and old barn itself :)
