This is an amaryllis that blooms in my Grandmas garden. She told me that she got the original bulb from this long lived plant back in 1965, from their neighbor at the time Mrs Schaffer. The plant is now divided into to pots, and after this blooming season, my mom and I both will take some to plant in our own yards!
(PS) Today is my 900th blog post!!!

Another photo from my very early morning walk at Trillium Lake. The fog was still barely sitting quietly on the still water, and the sun was starting to burn off the cloud cover above.

A Little Piece of Heaven
Wednesday, June 12, 2013
I am back from another amazing trip to Trillium Lake. We camped two nights at our favorite place to celebrate our wedding anniversary (which is today, BTW!) and I have a lot of photos to share.
This photo was taken at about 6am Monday morning. My son woke up at dawn, and after bundling us both up, we took a peaceful (and photo filled) walk up and down the east side of the lake. The fog was resting on the lake, the water was a motionless mirror, the dew was sparkling on the swamp grasses, the birds were out, and the people weren't. My kind of heaven!
