I was outside of my Moms house photographing the raindrops on the flowers in her yard. I came across this daisy, just getting ready to open, and also providing a bit of protection from the sprinkles to a Daddy Long Leg spider.

Obviously, dusk at Trillium Lake is one of my favorite times. I will never tire of photographing it. It is so peaceful. The fishermen have abandoned the waters, the frogs can be heard, and on a good night, the sunset is amazing. The sunset never really "popped" this particular night, but I still couldn't resist capturing the last of the pink light hitting the snow on Mt Hood.

I went on a hike on Saturday in the Columbia River Gorge. Have not done a waterfall hike in a few months it seems like, so it was good to get out. The trail we chose actually has two waterfalls within the first mile. We will have to go back to visit the first one, Elowah Falls. This is the 2nd falls which is just above called Upper McCord Falls. The water splits and creates two waterfalls. The left one was not running very heavy this time of year, but you can still see a trickle.

I went up to Crown Point last week to try to capture this sunset that I posted last week. Standing to the east of the Vista House you can see this amazing view of the Columbia River Gorge. Even though it is looking east, the sky is still pink from the sun going down.
PS - oops. I guess I don't know the alphabet. I posted this on ABC Wednesday, but it is X week there. Sorry ABCers!

We took a short road trip west to a place called Hornings Hideout yesterday. My brother-in-law and his fiance are planning on getting married at the property next year, and we went to check it out. There are tons of peacocks at the place, and we even saw babies. But there is nothing more impressive than a male with his feathers out. The colors on this guy seriously popped!
