Rose Bud

This is the last photo I will post that was taken with my old camera. My new camera has arrived and I plan to take it out tomorrow to test it out. I will have the results to post next week.

I actually took this photo the last week of June, only about a week or so before my camera broke. It is of a rose bud in my own yard right after watering. They are all opened up now with the recent warm weather streak, and smelling lovely!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and may you take time to smell the roses!!

Mt Hood Sunset - Memorial Weekend 2007

Continuing with my posts of favorite photos I have taken from my archives, this oldie was taken back in May of 2007 from White River looking west at Mt Hood. I was heading to central Oregon to do some camping for Memorial Day weekend and stopped just in time to capture the last bits of bright pink sunset.

It has been difficult to choose what to post from my archives. I have thousands of photos, and did not end up necessarily posting my "best", but instead some my favorites. I hope you have enjoyed them.

Reflection of a Rainbow - July 2011

Sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time, or the world is trying to tell you something. I feel that way about this photo, which I took back in July of 2011 while camping at Timothy Lake. This would be the last camping trip my husband and I took before finding out we were pregnant with our son :)

Portrait of Zig Zag Falls - September 2012

Today's archive photo is a portrait of Zig Zag Falls. I love the short walk to this nice little waterfall. The trail winds through the forest along the Little Zig Zag River only about a half a mile before coming to the viewing area for the waterfall. I have actually only been here twice, this past time right when the leaves were just starting to change, as seen in a tree at the top of the falls. I hope to go there again this year, as it is so easy I can even push my sons stroller along the path!

Yellow Dragonfly - July 2009

If you have been following my blog the past week, you already know that my camera is broken. I should receive my replacement this week, and will take it out this coming weekend for a test run. Until then, I have been posting photos from my archives.

On Friday I posted one of the first macros I ever took. This one, taken back in July of 2009, is another early macro. The details of the wings are what makes it one of my favorites.
