The Dalles Mountain Ranch is one of those locations that has exploded in popularity in the past two years or so. I went there a year or two ago with my brother and we did not see another soul. This year when I visited it was really busy. I had to wait my turn to take a photo of the infamous "rusted car", which lives on a hillside amongst the balsamroot and lupine. The challenge was trying to get a composition that has not been done a bunch of times by the other hoards of photographers that have visited. I hope I accomplished my goal.

Given the shape of it, it's quite an old model already. One wonders how many decades before it collapses in on itself.
