On the second day of a recent trip to Neskowin, Oregon, there was a very thick fog that rolled in from the ocean. I know that in the low tide, the remains of an ancient "ghost forest" can be seen on the south side of the rock. I crossed Slab Creek and walked as far down the beach as I could until you could barely make out the silhouette of Proposal Rock with the ghost forest standing guard around it.
