Sunrise Over the Columbia River Gorge

I am almost never up before sunrise. But last week I was unexpectedly awake about an hour before the sun came up and decided to get in my car and seek out a spot to catch the morning color. I ended up at the viewpoint right on the Columbia River outside of Corbett off 1-84 just as the pinks and purples started to pop.

Perfect Day at Neskowin

What a difference in the weather a week makes. February at the coast is usually stormy, grey and rainy, like I imagine it is this week. But we totally lucked out and got to enjoy the beach at Neskowin just a week or so earlier almost entirely to ourselves on a day with barely a cloud in the sky!

Sun Rays Over a Forest Road

We were driving down a thin one lane forest road outside of Lincoln City, Oregon. The moisture on the ground was quickly evaporating in the warmth of the sunlight, creating sun rays in the rising fog.
