About Hood Photography

My name is Sarah Bettey. I am a wife, a mother to my son, a photographer and a blogger. I grew up in Welches, Oregon, which is located at the foothills of Mt Hood. I now live in Wood Village, a close eastern suburb of Portland, Oregon. Wood Village is located at the mouth of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, and is only a quick 40 minute drive from my Mt Hood area stomping grounds :)

This website's goal to keep some of my old photography alive, and a place to share my newer photos.

I am an avid nature lover, and much of what you will see here is devoted to the great outdoors. I live in a great area, which is centrally located between deserts, mountains and ocean beaches.

Photography posted here is mainly of the Mt Hood and Columbia Gorge areas, but includes travel pictures from nearby locations such as Portland, the Oregon Coast, central Oregon, Salem and beyond!

I have been a photographer in some capacity for as long as I can remember. For over 10 years now, I had been working with and for a wide variety of clients, specializing in maternity portraits and wedding photography. This has brought me to where I am today, focusing on nature and macro photography, as well as landscapes. I want continue to develop my talents and express myself through my photography. If it grows into a lifelong endeavor, then my dream will have come true.

I also have recently been chosen to share my photography and writings on Travel Oregon, Oregon's Mt Hood Territory, and All Trips - Mt Hood's websites.

Please enjoy my online portfolio, and feel free to contact me at HoodPhotography@gmail.com any time, or a comment if you like. Make a request, even better :)
